Mission Statement
VCF is an interdenominational, full gospel Christian church. Our
purpose is to bring the lost to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and to mature
and equip the saints for the work of the ministry through the teaching of the
uncompromised Word of God.
Our Ministry
We believe that God has a plan for every person
that will produce a life of peace, joy, victory and success. Therefore, our goal
is to tell everyone we know about Jesus, who will save them, bless them, and
help them discover God’s will and destiny for their lives.
Our worship style is contemporary and informal, and our dress is casual. All are
welcome! Sunday mornings begin with
a "Fellowship Hour", which starts at 9:30am. The first Sunday of each month a
full breakfast is provided at no charge, and the other Sundays a light
"continental" breakfast is served.
Our Sunday morning worship service begins at 10:30am and features 25-30 minutes
of contemporary praise and worship music, and freedom to express spiritual
gifts, pray, or share praise reports as the Lord leads. The service also
includes special music and teaching from the Word. Following the praise and
worship each Sunday, kids from 4 years of age through the 5th grade meet for
Children's church. There is also a nursery provided for infants-3 years of age
and under.
On Wednesday evenings at 7pm we have an Bible study followed by a season of
prayer.
In addition to these services, there are also special meetings for the men and
women of our church, such as men’s fellowship meetings and occasional Ladies
Night Out dinners.
A "Socials" committee plans for and oversees special events at VCF. Special
events in the past have included covered dish dinners, a Valentine's dinner for
married couples, a Hallelujah Night party (substitute for Halloween), cookouts
at a local farm, pizza parties, skating parties, Putt-Putt tournaments, and a
Progressive dinner for adults at Christmas.
Outreach
VCF is actively
involved in outreach, both locally and around the world. Locally, we assist in
paying utility/rent bills in crisis situations, and provide a monthly dinner
meal at a men's shelter. We will soon construct a second home to be used as a temporary
emergency shelter for families who experience tragedies such as house fires.
Information about the national and international ministries we support as well
as information about our Victory House and Victory Outreach Center
projects can be
found on our
Outreach page.
